Megan Reid is recent graduate from the MA Theatre Studies programme at Utrecht University. Originally from Scotland, she has worked within in transcultural projects as a performer, dramaturg, producer and researcher. Since 2006 she worked with Glasgow based performance company, Junction 25. She devised and performed in eight performances winning a Herald Angel at the 2011 Edinburgh Fringe Festival with I Hope My Heart Goes First. She went on to complete her undergraduate degree in Theatre Studies at the University of Glasgow in 2014. Upon graduating, she was lead performer and creator, alongside her sister Rosie Reid, in Glimmer. Glas(s) Performance developed the Christmas show for young audiences and families at Glasgow’s Tramway Theatre in December 2014. Following this, she was supported by Imaginate to create, alongside Katrine Turner, a performance for teenagers. The show, The Experiment, was performed at Glasgow’s Platform Theatre in May 2015. Since moving to The Netherlands, she has begun research within the TYA (Theatre for Young Audiences) field and recently worked with children’s theatre festival Tweetakt in production, programming and dramaturgical contexts.

She is currently working in collaboration with Lana Čoporda in the context of a new creation surrounding children, sexuality and gender.
